Poker Starting Hands | Skills | Playing Poker Tips | Poker Game
When you play Texas Hold’en the first thing you have to know is what a good hand and a bad hand to start are. This will depend on the kind of game you are playing and the number of people at the table and the people in the current hand. Try these basic tips for starters if you are playing at lower limit tables ($1-2 or lower).
Raise with these hands:
AA, KK, QQ, AK, JJ, AQ, TT
…especially to jam the pot at the Pre-flop.
Call with these hands:
AJ, KQ, QJ, JT, T9 (only if of same suit), 99, 88, 77, Ax (same suit)
You have to check the pot to make up your mind on whether you keep with it or not, but don't call more than 3 bets with them.
