When you face an opponent which holds the bigger stack of chips at the poker table you could feel intimidated, but being the chip leader involves skill, luck and various circumstances. You have to analyze all the factors that make a player the chip leader, so you can confront him. Remember that in a no limit game the position of chip leader could vary a lot.
Sometimes, aggressive players stack a lot of chips and take advantage of them to keep winning despite the fact that they could be the most clueless players at the table; aggressive players without strategy are usually the first ones to leave unless they keep sucking out the chips in the early stages of the game. Against these players you have to patiently wait for the chance to take them down, because once they have a huge stack of chips their play could improve, even unintentionally. They will not fold any hand and you won’t be able to risk playing unless you have really good cards.
Stick to a game plan and don't try to face the leader unless you have a good pocket hand, then capitalize on the mistakes he surely will incur. To be the chip leader, you have to work hard and take a good look at the other players at the table. Try to figure it out their play style, make effective calls and raise with good timing. If you face a chip leader that doesn't have these good qualities in their game, or a good strategy to follow, you only have to be patient and wait for him to self-destruct after the terrible mistakes that he most certainly will do because of their over-confidence and size of his chip stack.
If you make the right calls against the right opponent and with the right timing you can take down any opponent, regardless of the stack of chips he could have.
